(Adrian Wyld/Canadian Press) The Conservative government's latest attacks on the opposition's refusal to call a parliamentary session could prove costly for the government's majority, according to a new poll. The Nanos Research poll for the Angus Reid Institute released Thursday found that nearly half of respondents said the opposition's decision to block a second session of the House of Commons in less than three weeks was a political mistake. "If we're going to debate the budget, we'll have to have a House of Commons, where they have to debate our bill." However, when the House of Commons reconvenes on Feb. 25, it will be less than three weeks since the government survived a no-confidence vote in which more than 50 Liberal and NDP MPs helped sink the government. "A lot of the calls to break up the government in the House of Commons will have to wait until after the session ends in April," Angus Reid said in a news release. "A good majority of Canadians have a very negative view of the current government." Nanos Research president
